There are technologies in orthopedics that never reach the surgeons who would use them well. Not because the science is weak, but because they sit outside the large contracted groups that hold agreements with the major health systems. Distribution decides what gets seen, and distribution tends to favor scale over merit.
MVMT exists to widen that field. We are an independent surgical distributor, which means we carry no obligation to move a particular manufacturer's inventory. Every technology in the catalog is evaluated the same way a surgeon would evaluate it: mechanism first, then what the published data actually shows, then whether it holds up in the field. If it fails that standard, it does not go in the catalog, regardless of the commercial terms attached to it.
That standard is the entire value we offer. A surgeon already knows what works in their hands. What they rarely have is time to independently vet every adjunct that comes across their desk. Curation done honestly saves them that time, and it only works if the filter is real.
A catalog is only worth as much as the things kept out of it. Six categories are carried because each one holds up under the question a surgeon actually asks: how does this work, and what happens when it is used.
A product enters the catalog once the biological mechanism is understood well enough to explain it in a room full of surgeons. Marketing language is the last thing considered, and it carries no weight in the decision.
Where peer-reviewed data exists, we cite it and link it on the Clinical Resources page. Where a study is still accumulating, we say that plainly rather than rounding it up.
Two products that solve the same problem create a conversation where the catalog competes with itself. When a technology duplicates something already carried and does it less well, it stays out, even when the margin is better.
No single-manufacturer obligation and no quota to satisfy. The recommendation follows the patient and the indication, which is the only arrangement under which curation means anything.
